What the site needed
The connection had to transfer uplift and shear from a thin-wall steel frame into a concrete base while isolating dissimilar materials.
A column-base connection detail for Building 9 at Shilishuixiang, using M16 chemical anchors, a 2 mm SBS isolation layer and a 35 kN design pull-out.
